LEGAL WORK EXPERIENCE 4/02-Present L. STEVEN GOLDBLATT, ATTORNEY-AT-LAW
- Appointed Lead Counsel in 31 cases in United States District Courts for Eastern District of Missouri, Southern District of Illinois and United States Court of Appeals for Eighth Circuit Successfully represented Defendants in cases ranging from white collar crimes to drug offenses with potential sentences of life imprisonment. No client received above the minimum USSG guideline range, 3 received probation, one case was dismissed.
- In one year special assignment as Missouri Assistant Attorney General prosecuted complex criminal and civil securities fraud cases and mass consumer fraud cases statewide in conjunction with Missouri Securities Commissioner.
- Defended Bear Stearns and Kenny Securities in NASD arbitrations and NASD, SEC, and State of Missouri regulatory proceedings. Also successfully represented customers In NASD proceeding. In Kenny case argued in front of entire SEC in oral argument on 4-02-03. This argument was web cast nationally and is still available at www.sec.gov under public meetings for that date.
- Represented Edward Jones and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in complex civil litigation focusing on trade secret protection in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest. Successfully prosecuted specific performance of commercial contract in 14 days.
- No-caused 300K NASD claim in New Orleans and defended 300K NASD claim in Little Rock with award below reporting limits.
1/99-4/01 KODNER, WATKINS, MUCHNICK & DUNNE
- Successfully defended over $50 million in claims against NASD broker-dealers. Participated in a 42-state global settlement of alleged violations of federal and state securities laws. Successfully prosecuted and defended over $5M in complex commercial litigation in state and federal court.

- Chief Trial and Appellate attorney, successfully defending over $30 million in claims in NASD arbitrations and federal securities class action litigation.
- Obtained the policy limit of Fidelity Bond coverage plus attorneys fees in excess of $600,000.

- My duties and responsibilities also included compliance, operations and accounting functions of this NASD broker-dealer. In this capacity, I instituted an ILX platform with BNS at Bear Stearns with ticket less electronic trading and cut operations costs by 50%. In addition, clearance and execution costs with clearing firms were cut by 75%. I instituted Y2000 compliance (completed 9/98) and implemented NASDAQ Oats electronic reporting for market maker trades.
